Dr. Cedar Barstow, Founder and Director Emerita of the Right Use of Power™ Institute, is the author of the Right Use of Power™ books and approach to issues of ethics, power and influence.  She is also a Certified Hakomi therapist and trainer and was the Administrative Director of the Hakomi Institute for 10 years.  Dr. Barstow has served as a consultant to individuals, groups, and organizations throughout the United States, Europe, and the South Pacific.  She is the consultant to the Hakomi International Ethics Committee and Chairwoman of the United States Association of Body Psychotherapists. She is available for individual and organizational consulting in person, by phone, or by Skype.

Community Life
Dr. Barstow has had 40 years of successful community life, first in a 14-member professional commune in Somerville, MA and then in numerous smaller households.  Since 1985, she has owned a seven bedroom house in Boulder, CO that has been home and healing and growing environment for some 66 people over the years.  She has developed many skills for keeping a household running smoothly and happily.  Cedar is happy to serve as a consultant in regards to everyday life and complex relationships.
